ROISIN MCCONWAY IS CROWNED MISS SEAT 2011

SEAT Ireland was recently announced as the official car sponsor of this year’s Miss Ireland contest, which takes place in Dublin on Saturday 13th August. As part of the sponsorship, SEAT, Ireland’s most stylish car brand launched its search for Miss SEAT 2011 to represent the brand in the final. SEAT is delighted to unveil 19 year old Roisin McConway from Creeslough in Donegal as the overall winner of the Miss SEAT 2011 competition.

Roisin, who is currently studying to become a Primary School Teacher while also working as a part time butcher, was crowned the winner after she beat off stiff competition through a public vote on the SEAT Facebook page. As the newly crowned winner, Roisin will go on to represent SEAT Ireland at this year’s Miss Ireland competition, with the hope of going all the way to Miss World, which takes place in London in November.

The newly crowned Miss SEAT is currently waiting to sit her driving test and SEAT will assist her with lessons and support in the lead up to the test. Once she gets her full license, Roisin will get to drive a brand new SEAT Leon TSI for six months and become a SEAT brand ambassador joining SEAT’s existing ambassadors, model Nadia Forde, TV presenters Aisling O’Loughlin and Anna Daly, soccer star Stephen Rice and racing car driver Eoin Murray. Exuding style, dynamism and eco friendliness, the new SEAT Leon TSI is the perfect car for the winner of the Miss SEAT competition.

Speaking at the announcement, Roisin said, “I honestly can’t believe I have been crowned winner of Miss SEAT 2011. I’m so excited about going on to represent the brand in Miss Ireland 2011 and am looking forward to driving around in my new Leon. The fact that I also get to be a SEAT ambassador is just the icing on the cake!”.

Speaking of SEAT’s involvement in this year’s Miss Ireland, Lorenzo Heller, Director of SEAT Ireland said “We are delighted to welcome Roisin to the SEAT team and we very excited that she will be representing us at this year’s Miss Ireland competition.
